Golden rules
Golden rules for preparation
Deep fryer, air fryer, pan, oven: the secrets of cooking Pizzoli frozen products to perfection.
Deep fryer
Before frying
  • Use a clean fryer.
  • Always choose a good-quality oil: we recommend peanut or high-oleic sunflower oil for their high smoke point.
  • Check the temperature of the oil before frying. The correct setting is 160-175°C.
  • The ratio of food to oil should not exceed 1:10. Never fill the basket more than half full!
  • Fry our products while still frozen to ensure optimal quality.
  • Never add salt or spices before or during frying.

While frying
  • Keep the temperature between 160°C and 175°C.
  • Shake the product after about 30 seconds.
  • Follow the cooking time suggested on the package.
  • Cut the cooking time if you fry small quantities.

After frying
  • After frying, shake the basket over the fryer for about 10 seconds to remove excess oil.
  • Place the fried products on paper towel before serving.
  • Season with salt to taste and serve immediately.
  • Don't fry the products a second time.
  • Skim the oil to remove floating particles between fryings.
  • Strain the oil and clean the fryer after use.
  • Dispose of waste oil in the containers provided by public authorities or nearby businesses.
In the pan
Pan-frying
  • Use a clean pan with high sides.
  • Fill it with plenty of oil to completely cover the product. We recommend peanut or high-oleic sunflower oil for their high smoke point.
  • Heat the oil, if possible checking the temperature with a kitchen thermometer, and do not exceed 170-175°C. If you do not have a thermometer, be careful not to let the oil smoke.
  • Fry our products while still frozen to ensure optimal quality. Use only little quantities at a time to prevent the oil from cooling too much.
  • Follow the cooking instructions on the package. Don't brown the product excessively.
  • Place the fried products on paper towel before serving to remove excess oil.
  • Dispose of waste oil in the containers provided by public authorities or nearby businesses.

Stir-frying
  • Use a wok or similar pan.
  • Add a little oil and heat well before pouring in the frozen product.
  • Adjust the quantity to cover the bottom of the pan with a single layer of product.
  • Shake and stir the product often to ensure even cooking.
  • Only a few products are suitable for this type of cooking, such as We Love con Buccia and Fette con Buccia Patasnella.
  • Serve directly on a dish once the product is well cooked.
In the oven
  • Preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the package.
  • Line the baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the fries while still frozen in a single layer on the baking tray.
  • Bake for the suggested cooking time until the fries are golden and crispy.
With the air fryer
Before
  • Set the temperature of the air fryer to 180°C.

During
  • Follow these tips to ensure even cooking:
    • Never fill the air fryer basket more than half full;
    • Shake the basket 2-3 times while frying.

  • Follow the cooking time suggested on the package.
  • For optimum results, always follow the appliance instruction manual.

After
  • Pour the contents of the basket into a bowl or onto a dish.
  • Check that the products are ready. If not, put them back in the basket and set the timer for a few extra minutes.
